Are Weight Loss Medications Safe?

At Padiham Pharmacy we believe patient safety is paramount, therefore no weight loss medication will be issued unless you have been assessed by our health care professionals in store. This means the pharmacist will ensure this approach is suitable for you before prescribing them.

 

All medication can cause side effects. These typically are mild but can include nausea, constipation, headaches, increased heart rate and more. Severe side effects are rare, but possible e.g. allergic reactions. Therefore, at Padiham pharmacy you will be required to visit every 4 weeks in person for regular monitoring to minimise these risks.
